BBC Studio在北京举办媒体会，首次采用“预告”的方式，披露“星球系列”未来5部作品的规划——《一颗星球：七个世界》《完美星球》《冰冻星球2》《绿色星球》《地球脉动3》。万众期待之下，BBC Earth在中国首次官宣《地球脉动3》回归，而《地球脉动》系列也将成为BBC自然历史纪录片最宏大的一个系列。《地球脉动3》将分为10集，与前作相比，这一部将注入新的角度，关注极端环境和地质元素对生态的影响；另外，该作还将更加关注人类与自然的互动，将至少在1-2集里侧重讲述人类活动以及它们造成的改变。
